Of course you didn't know that. If the average witness realized that the "society" puts itself between men and Christ no one would dedicate themselves to a printing company!

Then how would they support themselves?

All the good intentions in the world do not excuse the fact that they are false christs, denying their followers the true gospel. The fact that they say Christ has already returned, goes against what the bible says, "every eye shall see". A thief in the night means when you least expect it, not that you slept thru it. Beware of wolves in sheep clothing that say "Look He is here, or there, do not follow them"

Of course, it only matters if you believe that the bible is the word of God.
Otherwise the watch tower who says that they speak for God [personally I think it should be small g] teaches that Jesus is the mediator for only the annointed.

look up mediator in aid to bible understanding. Jesus is mediator for 144,000 annointed ONLY.
They are the only ones that are in the new covenant. They are the only ones that can partake of the emblems.
The org is the other sheep's mediator.
The society has put themselves between you and Jesus.
But what does Jesus say? HE is the way. HE is the light.
They use smooth words.
Let the reader use discernment.

mmmm,
should sexy teen get a bit of a heads up? She is describing what appears to be the ideal JW life. If she goes off asking questions that life might all of a sudden change - drastically!

I think the mediator question is a real soul searching one for anyone truly doubting. Very scary.

The other side spews that they substitute for Christ on earth. Who is your mediator? WT definition is a legal representative. Jesus is only the mediator for the annointed. The other sheep or great crowd is represented by a printing company in brooklyn NY

posted one at the supermarket by my house, but noticed the other day that it had been taken down.

gotta replace it.. several weeks ago, a car load of 'hovahs pulled up next to me at a convenience store to get their lunch while out in service.

I was also planning to bring the little ones some presents. I'd hate to have to spend money on wrapping paper since I have quite a bit of Christmas paper left over. What do you think?

I hope to be doing a little of this on the wkd. Very sticky situation tho. I've been "marked". Last blow up was about a year ago. A polite family get-to-gether [my time to arrive was obviously set after others will have already left.] There will be lots of talk about the weather, pets, funny things kids do, etc. I've been trying to come up with maybe a couple of innocent questions or comments.

I think I'll ask the teenager about college plans - I know there are none. But I also think she'd love to get out of the house. My other neice is 17 & off to university and can't wait!

Oh, I had one more thought.

I actually see no difference between Russell, Rutherford, Knorr and the saviours, black messiah, false prophets and "expert" chronological scholars that entertain us on this board. Since they already have a publisher, Lord help us if they ever get an agent!
